TX Taxi and rideshare services Direct drop-off at Convention Centre Place

Taxis and rideshare services operate from Melbourne Airport and throughout the city. Ask your driver to use the taxi and rideshare drop-off point immediately outside the Convention Centre Place entrance.

Suggested destination: 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf VIC 3006.

Travel time from Melbourne Airport varies with traffic, so allow additional time during weekday peak periods.

SB Airport shuttle bus · SkyBus Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station

The SkyBus Melbourne City Express runs between Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station seven days a week. Tickets can be purchased online, through the SkyBus app or from card-only kiosks at the airport and Southern Cross Station.

From Southern Cross Station, walk approximately 10 minutes to MCEC or take tram routes 12, 96 or 109 to Stop 124A Casino/MCEC/Clarendon Street.

Train

Southern Cross Station is the closest major station. Walk approximately 10 minutes or connect by tram.

Tram

Routes 12, 96 and 109 stop at Stop 124A Casino/MCEC/Clarendon Street, immediately outside the Exhibition Centre entrance.

Alternative trams

Routes 70, 75 and the City Circle stop at Spencer Street/Flinders Street, followed by an approximately five-minute walk.

Bus

Route 237 from Southern Cross Station stops at Eighteen Pence Lane/Lorimer Street, approximately 10 minutes from Convention Centre Place.

CR Car rental Airport collection and city driving

Major car rental providers operate on-site at Melbourne Airport, with collection facilities located near the terminals. Booking ahead is recommended if you plan to explore regional Victoria before or after the conference.

For MCEC, enter 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf or your selected car park into your navigation app. City traffic and parking demand can be high, so public transport may be simpler for conference days.

Conference Dinner

Getting from MCEC to NGV International

The ANZSGM 2027 Conference Dinner will take place at NGV International, located at 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

Walk

Allow approximately 20–25 minutes. Follow the Southbank riverside promenade east from MCEC, then continue towards St Kilda Road and NGV International.

Public transport

Trams serving the Arts Precinct stop outside NGV International. Use the PTV Journey Planner for the most suitable connection and live service information.

Taxi or rideshare

The drive is generally around 5–10 minutes, depending on traffic. Enter “NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road” as your destination.
