Travelling to Australia
International participants, attendees, speakers and exhibitors should check Australia’s visa requirements and apply well in advance of travelling.

Visitor visa options
Depending on eligibility, conference participants may be able to apply for one of the following visa options:
Important: Eligibility for an ETA or eVisitor visa is determined by the passport held by the applicant.
Travelling as a business visitor
Subject to your visa conditions, a business visitor may be able to:
- Make general business or employment enquiries
- Investigate, negotiate, enter into or review a business contract
- Conduct activities as part of an official government visit
- Take part in a conference, trade fair or seminar, provided you are not paid by the organisers to participate
- Undertake tourist activities
Supporting your application
Visitor visa applicants should provide as much relevant supporting information as possible. This may include:
- Evidence of previous international travel, such as visas and passport pages showing entry and departure stamps
- Information or evidence confirming attendance at similar conferences or professional events
- Your ANZSGM 2027 registration confirmation and invitation letter, where available
Letter of invitation
Your invitation letter will only be added to your registration dashboard once your registration fee has been paid in full. It cannot be generated or downloaded before payment has been received.
Once payment has been completed, enter your passport details in the registration dashboard to generate your personalised letter.
- 1Log in
Access the registration dashboard as a returning delegate using your email address and password.
- 2Open Documents
Scroll to the Documents section and select Enter Details.
- 3Complete every field
Enter all requested passport information and select GO.
- 4Download your letter
Return to the main screen and select Download Letter to generate the PDF.

Biometrics
You may be asked to provide biometrics after submitting your visa application. Requirements depend on the visa, passport held and the applicant’s location when applying. Follow the instructions issued by the Department of Home Affairs.

All visa applicants must meet Australia’s applicable health and character requirements. The Department may request health examinations, police certificates or further information as part of an application.
