Dr Alicia Chan is Cardiologist at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), South Australia, with subspecialty expertise in heart failure and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). She leads the Heart Failure Service at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is committed to improving outcomes and models of care for people living with heart failure. Dr Chan is actively involved in clinical research and has contributed to national guideline development through co-authorship of key consensus statements, including the “Consensus statement on the current pharmacological prevention and management of heart failure” (Medical Journal of Australia, 2022) and the “Consensus statement on optimisation of patient management following hospitalisation for acute heart failure” (Heart, Lung and Circulation, 2025). She remains engaged in clinical trials, with a focus on translating evidence into practice.
