ANZSGM 2020 ASM Melbourne 19 - 21 May 2021

Call for Abstracts

The Scientific Program Committee invites you to participate in the 2021 ANZSGM ASM by submitting an abstract for presentation in concurrent sessions. We are seeking submissions that will provoke debate, stimulate discussion, offer new ideas and encourage the dissemination of research findings.

The theme of the 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting, “20/20 Hindsight: Vision for the future” is an opportunity to look at the emerging themes in Geriatric Medicine and how these will impact on the care of the older person into the future. The program will also feature best clinical practice updates in cardiovascular, renal and neurological diseases in older patients.

We would like to re-introduce our keynote speakers, Professor Shaun O’Keeffe and Professor Andrea Maier. Professor Shaun O’Keeffe is a Consultant Geriatrician and an Honorary Personal Professor of Medicine in Galway University Hospitals with extensive interest in cognitive impairment and ethical issues in the care of older people. Professor Andrea Maier is the Divisional Director of Medicine and Community Care at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Professor of Medicine and Aged Care at the University of Melbourne. Her research interests revolve around clinical biogerontology with a particular focus on sarcopenia.

Please be sure to review all of the information and instructions regarding abstract submission prior to completing the online form.

Abstracts are to adhere to the template provided on this page and in the abstract submission portal.

Online abstract submissions closed on Thursday, 18 February 2021.
